For the first time I finished a page before reaching midnight. This feels like a good step for me in the way of workign with a process but then again there are some art things I would really have liked to fix (as always I guess) But the series must go on. Anyway the next pages will surely have alot better art as I am finally learning how to do this in a more proper way.
So hopefully with this I have left the first struggeling step behind me and con focus on producing more pages. But anway me ranting about my proces sis kinda boring so lets get on to the graphich novel you are reading.
I actually wrote the first script over 2.5 years ago but I had to wait alot of time to finaly be able to output something semi decent. While the story has been through many reworkings the core of it remains. It's very film noir inspirded and focuses around a girl (hana) That takes a joureny through life much different from what the normal person expires. And during this time she walsk through the entire spectrum of human feelings from greatest despair to sprinkling hope, love and loss. It's also a story to show us what happens if we are allowing ourselves to be controlled by our pasts.
I guess if I should give a single message that I try to tell with this story it is "Live in the now, Don't let the past drag you down, and don't allow it to stop you from acheiving the happiness you deserve. Everyone can find happiness again. No matter how dark a hell they have been through" That is pretty much the gist of the story amd I hope you will enjoy watching it unfolding.

So here you
have the third page, you like it? I can tell that the next page
will be something special (I took a quick peek at the sketsches).
But I won't tell you much more about it now, you'll have to see
when it comes up next week.
I'm happy that
it takes less time for Eux to make the pages, now he has learnt
how to work better and then his goal to create two pages a week
won't be so far away.
But I can brag
a little too. I made my own short comic which I called: "the
heavenly journey" or something like that translated to English.
It's three pages so I guess it's really short but like Eux told
me: "it's more than I've done in three weeks". But his comic is
looking better...Maybe I will upload it to the site soneday,
when I get it back from school and I feel that I want to be
laughed at.
As bad as I am
I took what Eux wrote today about the story and you'll be able
to find it under the section: about. More will come, but I have
no idea when. An artist's always an artist, and I guess he needs
his creative time for his comic right now. But I don't have
anything against it. I think it's better to have a page with
nice pictures than a scrolltext. So look forward to next weeks
update! And keep you eyes open for more short texts about the
story. |
